Kisah dalam film ini dimulai dengan konspirasi yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah Amerika Serikat. Saat itu, sebuah wabah misterius dilepas dari pangkalan militer rahasia Area 51 yang berlokasi di wilayah selatan Nevada. Peristiwa ini menyebabkan masyarakat di sekitar kota Las Vegas berubah menjadi mayat hidup yang kelaparan.
